|Project Timeline:||December 2011 – May 2012|
XCG was contracted by a confidential client to conduct Asbestos Containing Materials (ACM) surveys on 5 food processing plants within Ontario for due diligence purposes. The ACM surveys were completed in compliance with Ontario Regulation (O. Reg.) 278/05 (as amended) which is administered and legislated by the Ontario Ministry of Labour.
XCG collected over 250 bulk building materials samples throughout the ACM surveys. The samples were analyzed to determine the presence or absence of ACM at the 5 plants. XCG prepared detailed reports for each of the 5 plants; outlining the type of ACM along with the quantity and conditions. All of this information was organized and illustrated in site drawings with photographic inserts of the ACM location(s).
Upon completion of the ACM reports, an Asbestos Management Plan (AMP) was prepared for the plants if required. This provided the client with a working document to give to both employees and contractors who may be working in the areas of the plants where ACM is located. Annual re-assessments of ACM is required to comply with O. Reg. 278/05 (as amended) until the ACM is removed.
XCG used 4 experience staff on this project. The project was completed over a 6-month period, with XCG working diligently to accommodate our Client’s varying schedule requests. Regardless, all ACM surveys were completed on time and on budget.
