Asbestos Surveys of 5 Processing Plants Within Ontario
XCG was contracted by a confidential client to conduct Asbestos Containing Materials (ACM) Surveys on 5 food processing plants within Ontario for due diligence purposes.
The ACM Surveys were completed in compliance with Ontario Regulation (O. Reg.) 278/05 “Regulation Respecting Asbestos on Construction Projects and in Buildings and Repair Operations (as amended) which is administered and legislated by the Ontario Ministry of Labour (MOL).
Through the ACM Surveys, XCG collected over 250 bulk building materials samples for ACM analyses to characterize the plants to determine the presence or absence of ACM. XCG prepared detailed reports for each plant which outlined the type, quantities and conditions of ACM which was tabulated and illustrated in site drawings with photographic inserts of the ACM locations.
Upon completion of the ACM reports, Asbestos Management Plans (AMP) were prepared where required providing the client with a working document to provide to both employees and contractors who may be working in the areas of the plants where ACM is present.
XCG used 4 experienced staff on this project which was completed at different scheduled times as requested by the client over the 6 month period. All ACM Surveys were completed on-time and on-budget.
