Kristian Peter

Kristian is one of XCG’s Expert People. He’s a Senior Project Manager at XCG, working out of XCG’s Kitchener, Ontario office and has been helping clients solve environmental issues since 2000. He has a degree in Environmental Engineering from the University of Guelph and is a licensed Professional Engineer in Ontario and Alberta. He is also a Qualified Person for Environmental Site Assessment (QPESA) in accordance with Ontario Regulation – Record of Site Condition – Part XV.1 of the Act (O. Reg. 153/04).

Kristian has built a wealth of project management experience at XCG. His ability to successfully navigate scope, schedules, and budgets in close liaison with clients, contractors, staff, and regulatory representatives is key to his successful completion of numerous projects. Kristian diligently listens to and develops a clear understanding of a client’s needs in order to provide them with the technical data and solutions they require to make informed business decisions about their property or facility.

Kristian is a multi-disciplinarian with a focus on Brownfield redevelopment and remediation projects. He has conducted and managed numerous Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) for both due diligence purposes in accordance to the Canadian Standards Association (CSA) Z768-01 Standard and for the purpose of obtaining a Record of Site Condition (RSC) in accordance with O. Reg. 153/04 at residential, commercial, industrial, and agricultural properties. Kristian also has extensive experience with investigative techniques in both overburden and bedrock environments, as well as remedial projects including excavation, in-situ soil and groundwater treatment, groundwater pump and treat systems, and monitored natural attenuation. Kristian has also been involved in the implementation of risk management measures associated with Brownfield redevelopment projects that are subject site Certificates of Property Use (CPUs) including soil capping, vapour mitigation and on-going monitoring activities to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Kristian a valued member of the XCG #ExpertPeople team. When he’s not assisting clients with their time sensitive projects, Kristian enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters, on the golf course, or at a local fishing hole during the summer months. He’s also a die-hard Toronto Raptors fan who has been cheering his team on since Day One and basked in the glory of their 2019 NBA Championship.
