XCG was contracted to complete Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) for seven properties in the Greater Vancouver Area that were under consideration for purchase. The properties were each occupied by vehicle servicing centres and car wash facilities.

XCG reviewed background environmental reports, historic records, and contacted provincial and municipal government officials to assess the potential for environmental concern associated with each of the sites. A site visit was completed at each location to review on-site activities and neighbouring properties. XCG prepared comprehensive Phase I ESA reports for each site with detailed conclusions regarding potential environmental concerns and the associated level of risk.

XCG worked closely with the client to identify potential issues and liabilities, and put these into perspective within the context of the clients risk tolerance and the objectives of the transaction.

The purchase agreement was successfully completed with reliance on the Phase I ESA documents.
